James and Rachel seem like the perfect parents: well-educated, successful, middle-class...white. But when their adopted son from Uganda is threatened with expulsion from school, they are confronted with the real challenges of parenting a traumatized child in suburban America. Ruth McKee's racially charged play underscores homogeny's fragile nature, and questions whose responsibility it is to care for the "strays" of the world.

Seventeen-year-old Anne Malloy is lost and angry after the tragic killing of her parents to a terrorist's bomb. Like many who suffered and survived during Ireland's "Troubles", she turns to the comforts of her local parish. However, her passion is not for the Church, but for her confessor and confidant Father Reilly, forcing both to re-evaluate where one finds solace and faith during a time of conflict. Nate Edelman's sharp dialogue and dark wit shines through this moral conundrum, and his skillful depiction of this war-torn city forces us to reconsider what is wrong and what is righteous.

A woman wants to have a baby and she wants to do it alone (or, at least, in partnership with the local soccer team). A man challenges her decision to purposefully be a single mother - although it's worth pointing out - he is madly in love with her. So, where else to turn for advice but to those nearest - which in this comedic, shocking play, has unexpected consequences. Winter Miller's controlled chaos and sexy theatricality deconstructs the concept of marriage and begs the question...what makes a relationship work?
